Colors Straight Up, directed by Michele Ohayon It Was A Wonderful Life, offers searing testimony from teenagers who have decided they donšt want to be dead by the age of eighteen. They save themselves from their mean streets by joining Colors United, a nationally acclaimed after school performing arts group. On this safe stage, Latino and black kids put down their guns and pick up Shakespeare, finding an alternative to gang culture as they strive to seize more from life.
